Aggregated or De-Identified Information

We sometimes use your personal data in a form that doesn't identify you to help improve our Services, conduct research, analyze how users interact with our services, and train our AI models. Here are some examples:

  • When you give us feedback and allow us to use it, we remove any links between your feedback and your identity before using it to enhance and train our models and systems.

  • If any data you provide or our systems identify it as possibly breaking our rules, we remove any links to your identity before using it to help train our models to recognize acceptable content. But, if we need to address a specific issue, we might reconnect the data with your identity to take action according to our rules.

  • To better understand and enhance overall user experience, we might compile and analyze general patterns of how all users interact with our services. This compiled data does not point out any specific user.

  • Data Retention Period: Used data is deleted after the user deletes their account. We retain data for 30 days after account deletion for potential recovery or legal purposes.

5. Data Transfers

When you use our website or services, your personal information might be sent to our servers located in the US or to other countries outside of the European Economic Area (EEA) and the UK. This transfer can happen directly when you provide us with your data, or it might be done by us or a third party.

To make sure your information is protected when it's transferred outside the EEA or the UK, we follow certain safeguards:

  • Adequacy decisions: These are approvals from the European Commission according to Article 45 of the GDPR (or similar approvals under other laws) that acknowledge certain non-EEA countries as having sufficient data protection measures. We transfer your information to some of these approved countries as outlined in our "Collection of Personal Data" section.
  • Standard contractual clauses: The European Commission has also created specific contractual terms approved under Article 46 of the GDPR that allow data transfers from the EEA to countries outside it. These clauses, and their equivalents approved for the UK and Switzerland, help us transfer information securely to our affiliates and third parties in countries that haven't received an adequacy decision.
